| Kevin has also donated many hours of instruction
and adjudicating at local schools and clubs. His comment to many
people who say they have no artistic talent is: "Talent by itself
won't get you very far--practice and hard work will." He says the
part he enjoys most about doing portraits is capturing the personality
of the subject and putting the sparkle in their eyes to breathe life
into the picture.
In addition, Kevin has donated charcoal portraits
for special occasions, such as at the passing away of friends and for
the families of others who have had such a loss. These offers have included
the students of Columbine High in Colorado and other accident victims.
He is now extending this offer to the families of fallen soldiers from
Iraq and Afghanistan. "I feel strongly that our soldiers and their
families have given more than any one of us can fully appreciate. This
is my small way to say thank you and I hope this portrait gives some
comfort at a time of loss." Visit our U.S.
Soldiers page or call or e-mail for more information.
Some of his other hobbies include scuba diving, photography, astronomy,
and inventing.
